Tasks (offers)
Tasks are fixed-price services provided by Freelancers. They’re a great way to showcase a Freelancer’s services in a “bite-sized” format to attract new Buyers.
When posting a Task, Freelancers are expected to adhere to a few policies. These policies ensure that the marketplace functions smoothly for everyone. Tasks that violate these policies will be removed, and we will always contact the Freelancer to explain why, so they can make necessary corrections.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Recently, delays have occurred in processing likes from sites like Facebook, which may result in delays in displaying them on the site. Freelancers must explain these delays clearly, inform Buyers before work begins, and ensure that Buyers acknowledge the delay to avoid dispute issues.
Prohibited Services
Freelancers can offer a wide variety of services on HP, but the following are prohibited:
- Supplying artificial social media followers/likes or product/business reviews, including any indications, at our discretion, of artificial deliverables.
- Fraudulent listings or offers for illegal services.
- Spam or listings posted solely to promote another business, website, or third-party service.
Do:
- Be specific about the service you’re offering and what exactly the Buyer will receive. Clearly state any exclusions to avoid surprises.
- If you offer different services, create separate Tasks for each. Each Task should have distinct images that represent the specific service.
- Keep it bite-sized. Tasks should be services that can be delivered within a set timeframe, typically no more than 5 days after the Buyer’s requirements are received in the WorkSpace.
- Attach high-quality images or videos that are relevant to your service. Low-quality, offensive, or irrelevant images can harm your sales and may lead to your Tasks being paused or removed.
- Set a realistic delivery timeframe that you can confidently meet. Late deliveries lead to unhappy Buyers and can impact your rankings.
Don’t:
- Set a price per hour or per item. Tasks are fixed-price services, so the listed price should be the total amount the Buyer pays for the specified service (inclusive of any VAT). You may offer a time-based package if it is clear to the Buyer, fits the nature of the service, and provides value even if purchased once (e.g., “I can be your Virtual Assistant for 2 hours”).
- Include your full name, company name, or contact details in the Task’s description or title. This rule primarily protects you, and we recommend not making your contact details publicly visible on any site.
- Direct Buyers to another website for additional details on the service. All necessary information should be included in the Task description.
- Post more than one Task for the same service, even if there are minor variations (e.g., “I can write a 500-word article in 3 hours” vs. “I can write three 500-word articles in 9 hours”). Buyers can purchase multiple quantities of your Task.
- Post duplicate Tasks for the same service. Duplicate listings will be removed.
