The WorkSpace is where all communication between the Buyer and Freelancer is conducted privately. Through the WorkSpace, parties can exchange information, including file attachments, send Proposals or raise Invoices, make payments, request refunds, or raise Disputes related to a Job.
When using the WorkSpace, there are a few policies that Buyers and Freelancers are expected to follow. These policies form part of our terms and conditions, and violations may lead to actions including warnings or account suspensions.
Do:
- Upon acceptance of a Proposal or purchase of an Hourlie, ensure all direct communication takes place in the WorkSpace. On HP, you’ll find all the tools you need to collaborate effectively, including file exchange capabilities. If it’s essential to communicate outside the WorkSpace while a Job is in progress, post any key agreements back in the WorkSpace to protect yourself in case of a Dispute.
Don’t:
- Attempt to exchange contact details with another Buyer or Freelancer before a Proposal has been accepted or an Hourlie purchased. This includes directing another Buyer or Freelancer to your company website or profile on another website. Discussing requirements and reaching an agreement to start a Job should all occur directly in the WorkSpace. Remember, you can easily exchange files here, and if you’re a Freelancer wanting to share samples, you can refer the Buyer to your portfolio on your HP profile.
- Make or accept any offers to pay outside of HP. Attempting to pay outside of HP will lead to sanctions, including possible immediate account suspension. Report any attempts by your Freelancer or Buyer to arrange payment outside of HP to our Customer Support team.
- Contact HP users to recruit them for employment or to promote your business or a third-party website.
- Post offensive or abusive content, or anything else against our terms of website use. We ask all HP users to keep interactions friendly and professional at all times.
